Black Evolution

This sculpture travels through time before your eyes. It gradually changes from a smooth polished cabinet to a deteriorated mass. All aspects gradually erode including the wood itself, the wood finish, the hardware, and the glass. The naturally weathered woods were finished with black paint/stain, and purple glaze. The far right door appears impossible to open; it in fact opens from the broken side of the door. Not visible are an interior light, and a fifth iridescent glass window on end.
